WELCOME WAGON INVITATION

Recently, the Bomber Girls, LRC have been invited to partake in a VERY rewarding activity. We, in turn, would like to extend this invitation to you to join our WELCOME WAGON with the Services to the Armed Forces division of the American Red Cross.

Have you ever asked yourself, "How can I express my gratitude and support of our troops?" Well, here's one selfless solution to that question...

Service to the Armed Forces (SAF)

The Savannah area is home to Hunter AAF and Fort Stewart. Each day, SAF volunteers work with military families to keep in contact during emergencies, offer emergency financial assistance through a special restricted fund, hold special events on base and provide general health and safety information for on-powst families.

In addition to these activities, SAF volunteers also assist during military deployments and homecomings. Each time a military unit deploys or returns to our area, SAF volunteers greet them with a handshake, "Thank YOU", and refreshments. It's a long-standing rewarding division of the Red Cross and the Bomber Girls are proud to be a part of this WELCOME WAGON.

Joining our WELCOME WAGON and the SAF team is easy! No extensive training is required. Just like the other departments of the SAF, you volunteer when you can...it's that simple!
